London: National Galleries/Leicester Square/Buckingham Palace/Kings Cross {Day 3}

{Day 3} London: National Galleries/Leicester Square/Buckingham Palace/Kings Cross

After one of the best nights sleep I've ever had (since I was so tired yesterday), we headed to the National Galleries in Trafalgar Square. The National Portrait Gallery was my favorite.  Seeing Kate and William and Harry in oil on canvas was really cool.  After a lovely lunch in Leicester Square (more of the theater district) we toured Buckingham Palace.  Wow, it was amazing.  The self-guided free audio tour is a must! It is truly stunning inside, it is such a shame cameras were not allowed in.

We ended back in Leiscester Square for dinner after catching an afternoon movie and passing through Chinatown.  The theaters are so small here and we had to walk up several flights of stairs inside the theater to get to our movie...so weird!  And, after some mouthwatering desserts we finished the night at, you guessed it, King's Cross station to see the famous Platform 9 3/4!  Can't wait for tomorrow when we get to tour the Harry Potter filming studios!!
