A Merry Little Christmas

Is it just me, or do the Holidays seem to go faster each year?  Then again, time flies when you are having fun, right!  

We kicked off our Christmas vacation with a trip to the mountains.  Instead of exchanging gifts, Wesley and I plan a weekend getaway.  This year, we chose Asheville.  We were hoping to go hiking Saturday morning ... (I know, a crazy activity to plan in the winter)... but due to "torrential wind warnings," Chimney Rock was closed.  I have a feeling a few people just wanted the day off....the wind was hardly torrential...

We had a romantic dinner on the Sunset Terrace at the Grove Park Inn. And then took a candlelight tour of the Biltmore House. (It's such a shame they won't let you take pictures inside!!)

We spent Christmas Eve with Wesley's parents, and Christmas Day with mine.  So convenient that they only live 10 minutes apart!
